It is colorless and odorless gas under usual
temperature and pressure. Pure liquid CO2 is colorless
and transparent; density is 1.1kg/cm3(-37);
stable chemical property, uninflammable, soluble in water; when
lower than -56.4, it
will transform into solid, usually called "dry ice".
It is widely used in food industry,
metallurgical, melting, fruit and vegetable preserving,
pharmaceuticals and also as fertilizer.
