Dear HXTT support,
We have been using the HXTT Access software since 2007 under the account jferna@sandia.gov. Ive recently tried to re-install it onto a Windows 7 computer (it was previously on a Windows XP computer), and I cant get it to work. I was able to successfully install the HXTT Service, but when I try to start the HXTTService it gives me the following error: "The LoadLibrary function failed for the following reason: The specified module could not be found." Does our current version of HXTT support Windows 7? Do we need to purchase an upgraded version of HXTT?
We are using Access_JDBC30.jar with Java version 6 update 34, (build jre 1.6_34-b04) 32 bit
Thank you for your help!

Please read Run HXTT AccessServer as Windows Service or Linux(Solaris) Daemon.
For Windows NT/2000/2003/XP system, you can use JavaService.exe.
For Windows 7, Windows 2008, and Vista system, you can copy jsl64.exe.
So try jsl164.exe for your issue.
You can puchase the upgrade/support service only when you think you need the latest package.

For Windows 7, and the jsl64.exe solution, the jsl64.ini file references DBF_JDBC30.jar, but I have Access_JDBC30.jar, are they the same jar, just a different name? Or are they different jars?

You should modify that DBF_JDBC30.jar to Access_JDBC30.jar .

That's not my question. My question was if the DBF_JDBC30.jar is a different version of HXTT? Is my Access_JDBC30.jar the correct jar to run on Windows 7?

Also, do I need to somehow uninstall/remove the existing HXTTService first before trying to run the js164.exe? The Service was successfully installed, but it's not running per my first description of the problem.

Can someone please confirm that I have the correct JDBC jar file??
I deleted the existing HXTTService, and ran the command:
jsl64.exe -install jsl64.ini
And in the jsl64.ini file the last line was updated to:
cmdline = -Xms16M -Xmx256M -cp C:\usr\local\bin\hxtt\lib\Access_JDBC30.jar -Dhxtt.urlconfig=C:\usr\local\bin\urlconfig.properties -Dhxtt.daemonport=8029 -Dhxtt.daemonpassword=apassword com.hxtt.sql.admin.HxttService
It installed a service called HXTT DB Service, but it won't start. It gives me the error:
Windows could not start the HXTT DB Service service on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Open the event viewer and dig through the logs: Open Windows Explorer and go to
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools
Open Event Viewer
Expand Windows Logs
Look in Application, Security, and System for errors.
