HXTT DBF
Field name problem

Hi,

I'm using a third party database on wich I have no control over the structure.

One of the field name is called 'NOT' (short for NOTE) and I get an lexical error message when I try to insert a record in this particular DBF file.

As a reference, when I'm using MySQL, unconventional column name can be addressed with the special quotes like this `NOT` and MySQL would not throw an error an error.

Is there a way to do the same with HXTT and be able to adress field name line 'NOT'?

*Please note that I'm using an older version on the HXTT driver as the newer versions give me slightly different and unwanted results. My version is from June 2010 when you inclluded support for Alaska indexes.

"NOT" or [NOT]

You should let us know what's your issue, then we will recur and fix it.

Thanks for the info, it worked!

I know you will, you've always been very helpful in every situation. I just noticed that problem late last month when I tried to upgrade to the latest version. I will document and submit this case at a later time when I get around to it.

Thanks again.

JF.
