Please let us know your jdbc url. You should use jdbc:excel:////yourUnixPath

hi,
Followed is the jdbc url for excel file dir. Using for crystal reports in Business Objects Enterprise in SunSolaris server.
Created crystal report in Windows designer and published in BOE in Solaris server then changed data source settings for JDBC url as follows.
excel file in solaris server.
hxtt jar file and class path setup correctly in solaris.

jdbc:excel:////app/asasx/..

jdbc:excel:////app/asasx/.. means jdbc:excel:////app/
Maybe you should use jdbc:excel:////app/asasx/ . BTW, Soloaris is case sensitve on path. What's your error message?

It's not error from HXTT Excel driver. Please check your lib path to make sure that Excel_JDBC30.jar or Excel_JDBC40.jar is here.

Hi
I am using Excel_JDBC30.jar and it was placed in classpath folder and also classpath set correctly. I doubble checked with path and location.
this is my path of jar file: /app/abcd/abcd/abcd/java/lib/external/Excel_JDBC30.jar
For your info in the same folder i placed other jar files(drivers) and working good.

Please check your CRConfig.xml, and copy the relative information, or email that file to us.

Hi
Updated CRConfig.xml file also according to
${BOBJEDIR}/java/lib/external/Excel_JDBC30.jar:>
other settings for jdbc:
jdbc:excel:////app/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/samples/textfiles
com.hxtt.sql.excel.ExcelDriver
xxxx

Mabye there's error:
${BOBJEDIR}/java/lib/external/Excel_JDBC30.jar:>
jdbc:excel:////app/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/samples/textfiles

Please email us your CRConfig.xml. Because HXTT Excel is a pure Java driver so that it's OS independent. BTW, why you haven't Details error message?. For instance, go to "Set Datasource Location" dialog, expand current data source
properties, add JNDI connection name, and you should see Detail error message.

Hi
Do you mean error in CRConfig.xml file? guide me on error.
/app/../../../jdk/bin
${BOBJEDIR}/java/lib/external/Excel_JDBC30.jar:

jdbc:excel:////app/../../../samples/textfiles
com.hxtt.sql.excel.ExcelDriver

How to get detailed error log? In bOE report settings there is no error msg. in BOE log there is no error log for hxtt or crystal report except failed to open connection with report name.

You should have setting error on Soloaris, since you have been normal on Windows. If your report is simple copied from Windows, maybe you need to check whether the JNDI name is same.

if you want i can send you screen shots of both windows and solaris database configuration settings

thanks
